About this event

Ever wonder what’s happening beneath the surface of the Willamette River? Join the Luckiamute Watershed Council for an evening with Brooke Penaluna, a Research Fish Biologist with the U.S. Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Research Station. Brooke will share how the Willamette’s fish community has changed over the past decade and what those fish can tell us about the health of the river itself.

Salmon get much of the attention in our region, and for good reason, but they’re only one part of a much larger story. The Willamette is home to a diverse array of fish, and Brooke will introduce some of the lesser-known residents of the river we share. The Luckiamute flows into the Willamette, so what happens in the main river connects back to the creeks and streams in our own backyard.

Join the Luckiamute Watershed Council for this FREE presentation, which will be followed by an interactive Q&A session! Register here: Sips ‘n’ Science: Willamette Fishes – Luckiamute Watershed Council
