OSU Basic Needs Program: A Peer-to-Peer Support System

Presented by Nicole Hindes, OSU Basic Needs Program: A Peer-to-Peer Support System

Oregon State University's Basic Needs Program integrates an innovative peer-to-peer support model in which student leaders help other students with all kinds of basic needs challenges. This approach results in a robust learning experience for the student staff, and a dignifying experience of help seeking for those trying to make it through college on a tight budget. You'll get to meet some students working in the program and hear from them directly about the impact of their efforts.

Location: Corvallis Community Center, 2601 NW Tyler Ave, Corvallis, OR 97330; also online. Please email admin@academyforlifelonglearning.org for information about attending.
