- ➤ Open Streets Corvallis will host its 7th free street festival on Sunday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. along a mile-long route that includes Lilly Park, Alexander Avenue, and Willamette Park — featuring a parade starting at 11:15 a.m., live music, games, and market offerings. Participants may join a group bike ride from Garfield Park at 10:30 a.m. or use a shuttle connecting key stops along the route. City of Corvallis

- ➤ Today through Tuesday, Philomath Fire and Rescue urged residents to stop outdoor debris burning — including burn barrels — because dry, windy weather has raised the fire danger. - ➤ Benton County will host a free webinar for residents to learn about changes to recycling rules that take effect July 1. Republic Services will lead the online session on Tuesday, June 10 from 6–7 p.m. to answer questions about the new guidelines. Philomath News
- ➤ Oregon will receive $66 million from a national opioid settlement with the Sackler family and Purdue Pharma to fund drug addiction prevention and treatment programs. The payment will be distributed over a nine-year period — 45% to a state fund and 55% to local recovery programs — after Attorney General Dan Rayfield announced the settlement on Wednesday.
