ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday night, Philomath Fire and Rescue sent four firefighters and two apparatus to battle the Highland Fire near Prineville in Crook County, and officials reported the blaze now covers about 719 acres and is 55% contained while under investigation as human-caused. Crews strengthened the fire perimeter and performed fuel reduction work on Monday, and they will continue mop efforts to secure the area—federal funds have been authorized to aid the response.
