  • SMART Reading is asking Philomath residents to volunteer for an hour a week at Philomath Elementary School and Kings Valley Charter School to help young readers. The nonprofit said its program, which has connected hundreds of thousands of Oregon children in 34 years, will serve 1,288 students this school year.  Philomath News
