- ➤ Mountain View Elementary reported higher-than-safe lead levels during testing, and school officials are following protocols to address the situation while experts investigate further actions. They plan to update the community as more information becomes available. Corvallis Gazette-Times
- ➤ Three Philomath High School graduates, Grace Bennett, Brooke Clemens and Elise Reese, earned dean’s list honors at Linfield University for the fall semester, announced this week. The program requires a minimum 3.65 GPA for 12 graded credits (PHS Classes of 2023 and 2024) to qualify. Philomath News

- ➤ Benton County Commissioners reopened the public record on the Coffin Butte Landfill expansion Tuesday to review new evidence (including an Oregon DEQ letter) and accept written testimony until 4 p.m. Jan. 27, with a continued hearing scheduled for March 3 at the Kalapuya Building.
