  • A diverse range of community events is on view from Friday, Jan. 23 through today in Corvallis. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • OSU scientists studied coastal martens in 2022 using hair snares and remote cameras over a 150‑sq‑mile area—finding 46 martens in varied forest spots. Their research will guide conservation on lands managed by the Forest Service, Yurok Tribe, and Green Diamond.  The Corvallis Advocate

  • Philomath boys basketball won a 67-54 game over North Marion on Friday, improving to 8-6 overall. The Warriors extended their four-game win streak & will face Cascade at home on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.  Philomath News
  • Philomath High’s girls basketball team beat Astoria 64-30 on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Philomath HS by scoring 35-8 in the second half. Coach Ben Silva said the defense shined while senior Isabelle Muir and junior Jordyn Hood led the scoring.  Philomath News
