  • Patrick Lumber Co. announced leadership changes this week by promoting Chelsea Zuccato to vice president of sales and marketing (she joined a lumber board), elevating Lena Jacobsen to controller, and electing John Quast as president of the Portland Lumber Exporters Association.   • Jaeden Izik-Dzurko will perform at The PRAx at Derrick Hall on Feb. 22 with Corvallis-OSU Piano International's Steinway Piano Series. Only a few seats remain for this event featuring the internationally acclaimed pianist.  The Corvallis Advocate

  • OSU’s William Ripple and Christopher Wolf released a study in One Earth that explains how climate feedback loops could push the planet into a hothouse state if key thresholds are crossed.   • Siuslaw National Forest is hiring seasonal employees for the upcoming recreation season at five duty stations including Corvallis & roles in visitor services, trail maintenance and campground upkeep will be posted on USA Jobs around Feb. 20 so applicants can prepare their profiles.  Philomath News
  • After 21 days in a Texas detention center while seeking medical help, the Crespo-González family was welcomed on the House floor Wednesday (lawmakers had secured their release). Lawmakers introduced 7-year-old Diana and her parents in a moment that turned detention into a local display of care.  The Corvallis Advocate
