- ➤ Philomath Fire and Rescue is asking voters to approve a five-year 50-cent operating levy (needed to sustain staffing amid rising call volumes) on the May 19 ballot; the levy will start in July 2027 and run through 2032 while raising about $3 million. Philomath News
