  • A recent survey by Talker Research found only 23% of Oregon residents view living costs as affordable, ranking the state as the 7th least affordable among all states, with neighboring states like California and Mississippi showing 27% and 62% affordability respectively (survey done Dec. 17-Jan. 5).  Philomath News

HEALTH NEWS

  • A national report released Wednesday found Oregon scored 43 for its online gambling safeguards, noting the state actively promotes sports betting without listing self-excluded players (Draft Kings offers this option while regulators do not) and warning that 24/7 betting is increasing addiction risks.  Philomath News
