- ➤ Corvallis Housing First is set to break ground on Third Street Commons at Southwest Third Street on March 19, creating 47 permanent supportive housing units for people facing chronic homelessness + offering on-site case management and health services. KEZI

- ➤ The Benton County Historical Society presents its K–12 student art show 'Freedom to Imagine' at Philomath Museum beginning Friday. The exhibition features local student work in Moreland Gallery (1101 Main St.) and runs through April 18 with free admission. Philomath News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Coffin Butte Landfill, located north of Corvallis, was fined $3 million today by the Oregon DEQ for failing to monitor and control landfill gas emissions. - ➤ The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department and Siuslaw National Forest require beachgoers to stay on wet sand and avoid driving, biking or flying drones from March 15 to Sept. 15 to protect western snowy plovers.
