Good morning, Corvallis.

The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation announced its 2026 Golden Apple Award winners to honor educators who help students reach their potential.

Jared Callis from Cheldelin Middle, Leslie Griffin from Corvallis High, Mandy Hunter from Bessie Coleman Elementary, and Maria Ponce from Linus Pauling Middle were recognized.

An attempt to recall school board members fell short earlier this month when support lacked — board members later met to review the process.

Philomath High's senior golfer Roman Robins tied for eighth and his team finished sixth in Monday's boys golf match at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora.

The Warriors will compete again Thursday at Santiam Golf Club in Aumsville.

Philomath High senior Isabelle Muir scored 105 in her round at the Stayton Tournament at Santiam Golf Club in Aumsville on Monday, April 20; the team finished fourth and will compete on April 28 at the Taft Invite at Salishan Golf Links in Gleneden Beach.
