- ➤ On May 2, Corvallis police ended an hour long standoff by arresting 45 year old Jason Leonard Corona after he barricaded himself inside a Northwest 3rd Street home following an alleged domestic violence incident in which he reportedly assaulted his ex wife + he now faces charges including fourth degree assault, strangulation, violation of a restraining order and outstanding warrants. - ➤ Jill Bartholomaus, a Corvallis native killed by domestic violence in 2005, left behind eight unpublished children’s stories that her daughters Jessie Lake & Molly Johnson are now working to publish to honor her memory and raise awareness.
