- ➤ Benton County residents can drop off household hazardous waste at Republic Services in Corvallis on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for free — only household quantities up to 5 gallons are accepted, and items such as ammunition, explosives, fireworks, and medical waste will not be collected. - ➤ Oregon's attorney general joined a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration for withholding hundreds of millions—Congress approved to expand EV charger networks in the state. Attorneys general from several states filed the suit in Seattle, arguing that delayed funds risk leaving Oregon with too few fast-charger stations as electric vehicle use grows. Philomath News
