- ➤ The Muddy Creek solar project will be delayed for another year after state officials granted extra time for its completion. Local farmers and residents opposed the proposal and tried to speak at a state meeting on Friday but were not allowed. Corvallis Gazette-Times

- ➤ Voter turnout in Benton County for the May 20 special district election reached only 16.5% of 60,804 mailed ballots as of Friday. Ballots will be accepted by mail if postmarked by Election Day or can be dropped off at official drop boxes, including one at Philomath Community Library and others in Corvallis — officials expect updated results Tuesday after 8 p.m. Philomath News
- ➤ The Philomath Planning Commission will meet Monday May 19 at 6 p.m. at City Hall to review a walkability and parking audit—while the City Council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday May 20 to consider a developer request for stormwater credits. The Budget Review Committee is set to meet Wednesday May 21 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall and Benton County commissioners will meet Tuesday May 20 at 8:55 a.m. at the Kalapuya Building. Philomath News
