  • The Corvallis Arts Walk is taking place today from 4 to 8 pm, showcasing eclectic art exhibits plus interactive panels across local venues including The Arts Center and Living Studios. EDUCATION NEWS

  • The blue whale skeleton, weighing 5,500 pounds, will soon be installed as a permanent exhibit at OSU’s Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, weather permitting. The restoration by Dinosaur Valley Studios lets viewers watch the installation via web cameras.  The Corvallis Advocate
  • Today, Letitia Carson Elementary at 2701 NW Satinwood hosts an open house from 6 to 7 p.m. featuring memorabilia displays ahead of consolidation. Cheldelin Middle School holds an open house on May 28 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 987 NE Conifer, featuring storytelling and artifacts.  KEZI

  • Philomath High honored its seniors in a 12-1 win over North Marion on Wednesday, May 20 at Terry Stephenson Field (their final regular-season home game). Wylie Griffith and Caleb Babcock delivered strong pitching and batting to extend a six-game win streak and keep the team in the conference title hunt.  Philomath News
