- ➤ On May 21, protesters gathered outside the Samaritan Health Plan Building in Corvallis to oppose the potential closing of the Girod Birth Center at Samaritan Lebanon Community and the Maternity Ward at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital due to budget cuts — their action was aimed at preserving essential maternity services in Linn and Lincoln counties.
