ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Philomath Fire & Rescue responded to several emergency calls from May 16 through May 22 including a two-vehicle crash on Highway 20 east of Blodgett on May 16, a dog bite incident in the 1600 block of Boulevard Street on May 20, and a single-vehicle crash on Southwest 53rd Street in Corvallis on May 21. The team handled additional calls in various locations and was on standby at the Benton County Fairgrounds on May 17.  Philomath News

  • A former Corvallis man accused of killing his Russian fiancée and acting at another woman's behest will get a new trial on appeal—his initial trial drew international attention.  Corvallis Gazette-Times
  • Philomath Police responded between May 16 and May 21 to incidents including loud music complaints, a vehicle striking a deer, a shooting near Corvallis, a death investigation and a shoplifting report—while also handling non-911 calls and traffic stops.  Philomath News
