ECONOMY NEWS

  • An analysis of SNAP data found that many locals receiving food assistance last year worked for big employers such as Safeway + OSU. New eligibility rules led nearly 47,000 residents to lose benefits while more than 300,000 could be affected in the months ahead.  The Corvallis Advocate

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Benton County Crisis Center extended its hours to 8 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday starting June 1 in downtown, offering free walk-in mental health support without appointments. Commissioners will get an update today on plans to recruit staff for 24/7 services.  The Corvallis Advocate
