The Benton County Budget Committee approved a $540.3 million budget for 2025-27 that increased funding by $847,000 for the Behavioral Health Deflection program+ the committee also set aside money to start saving for a new jail and maintained current support for the Sheriff’s Office work crew program. Financial Services are preparing the budget for a final public hearing on June 17 and the new budget will take effect on July 1 if it is adopted.
