On Thursday, June 18, the Philomath School Board approved a $61.3 million budget for 2026-27 that cut nearly $1 million through attrition and approved a reduction in force for 6.83 FTE positions (4-0 vote) while ratifying a new OSEA contract with a 4% wage increase effective July 1.

Philomath native Allison Neelands, a 2023 PHS grad, was named faculty scholar in political science during Hartwick College’s honors convocation on April 29 at Oneonta.

She was honored for her strong academic record and leadership as a rising senior.
