Good morning, Corvallis.

Corvallis marks America’s 250th birthday with a free community band concert today at 7:30 p.m. at Central Park, a reading of the Declaration on July 3 at City Hall, and a pool party on July 4 at Osborn Center (more festive events are scheduled town-wide).

The Siuslaw National Forest banned campfires outside developed campgrounds on Monday, June 29 due to unseasonably hot and dry conditions (fire danger is moderate).
