Good morning, Corvallis.

On July 1, the School Board approved a $5.2 million bid for Osborn Aquatic Center repairs following its October 2024 closure; the District still needed $1.2 million for HVAC and pool liner upgrades and is fundraising to secure the funds before May.

State fire officials say no new statewide fireworks restrictions will be imposed despite red flag warnings, so sales remain allowed from June 23 to July 6 in grocery lots and roadsides.

Residents are urged to favor professional displays to lower fire risks during the hot, dry Fourth.

Two regional burger spots now serve Corvallis residents with smash burger options on town streets.

Gotcha Burger opened its Madison Avenue location in January while Killer Burger launched its signature Smasher Combo on Northwest in June.
