  • The Kings Valley Cemetery Association received a $3,500 grant to repair 28 headstones in the pioneer section — Historic Preservation Northwest will start repairs soon and complete the work by June 30, 2026.  Philomath News
  • On Thursday evening, the Philomath Frolic Fish Rodeo was held at the rodeo grounds after 200 rainbow trout were delivered 60 to 90 minutes before the start of the event. Volunteers from Sweet Home’s equestrian team organized the activities—helping kids catch trout with their bare hands.  Philomath News
  • The Benton County Sheriff’s Office announced that a new life jacket loaner station is open along the Willamette River at Irish Bend Park — a project supported by Benton Community Foundation and local agencies; the station joins three others statewide and welcomes donations of new or gently used life jackets to help maintain free water safety services.  Philomath News

  • Corvallis-based Henderer Design and Build, a firm with Philomath ties, was named a 2025 Chrysalis Award regional winner in the $300,000-$500,000 Interior Remodel category for its work fixing a disjointed home layout. The project reconfigured an unused den into a media room and expanded the entry and kitchen, marking the firm's fourth Chrysalis Award win in four years.  Philomath News
