A 51-year-old man from Albany drowned in the Willamette River near Crystal Lake on July 19, with officials noting he was not wearing a life jacket (free jackets are available at Benton County parks) to remind water users to follow safety measures.

Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said Wednesday that Glenmark will settle a drug price fixing case for $29.6 million, with Oregon receiving $316,000 & residents who bought the company's drugs between May 2009 and Dec.
