- ➤ Philomath City Council voted Tuesday to postpone the psilocybin ban measure from the November ballot to the May election—saving $50,000 since Benton County covers election costs only when more than one issue is on the ballot. - ➤ A major transition is underway on the new Van Buren Bridge in Corvallis as one lane of traffic, pedestrians and bicyclists will move onto the bridge starting the week of July 28 — traffic on Van Buren Avenue will pause briefly to reposition barrels while construction continues on the east side. Drivers are urged to slow down and use alternate routes since the NW Van Buren sidewalk is closed and access from NW Van Buren to NW 1st Street will be restricted. KEZI
