Good morning, Corvallis.

On Aug 16, BCSO arrested a 45 year old man from Philomath at 9:15 p.m. for DUII after he drove 86 mph in a 55 zone on Highway 34 near Foxglove Lane and later arrested a 25 year old man from Lebanon at 10:42 p.m. for DUII after he drove 88 mph in a 55 zone on Highway 20 near Blodgett—both stops followed excessive speeding.

The Corvallis Police Department will conduct a Back-to-School Traffic Safety Blitz from September 3 to September 12 to protect students by strictly enforcing the 20 mph limit and pedestrian stop laws at all schools.

Officers will target speeding, distracted driving and other violations—aiming to keep routes to school safe.
