- ➤ The Philomath girls soccer team rallied for two second-half goals to beat Seaside 2—1 at the Oregon High School Soccer Showcase in Bend on Sept. 6—sophomore Kya Bolton scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute. Philomath News
- ➤ Philomath High sophomore runner Cassidy Smart won the grueling Ultimook cross-country race held Saturday at Hydrangea Ranch near Tillamook — she finished 8 seconds ahead of the runner-up in a field of 205 runners and helped her team secure second place among 25 schools in the 1A-4A girls division.
