EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Corvallis Public Schools Superintendent Ryan Noss submitted recommendations that include closing Cheldelin Middle School and later Crescent Valley High, keeping elementary schools open with an extra grade and converting Mountain View Elementary into a kindergarten through eighth grade school — steps taken in response to declining enrollment and state funding. The district will host public listening sessions on September 16 at Lincoln Elementary, September 17 at Linus Pauling Middle School for Spanish speakers, and September 30 at Corvallis High, with board meetings on September 11, 25 and October 16 to gather community input.
