- ➤ On Monday, the Philomath City Council modified its age-friendly resolution to pursue community goals independently from the AARP Network—this change passed by a 6-0 vote and gives the city more flexibility in planning for all ages. Philomath News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ OSU Extension’s SNAP-Ed program lost federal funding that cut 70 jobs including nutrition teacher Patty Ortega-Flores’ position when Congress passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, ending many food education classes. The program, which helped over 24,000 locals through school lessons and farmers markets, now will try to use leftover funds to support rural communities—an effort that may change its services.
