- ➤ The Corvallis Elks Lodge No. 1413 will host Sight-In Days at its gun range in Wren from 9 a.m.—3 p.m. on Sept 27 and Sept 28 so hunters can check their rifles for proper sighting at a cost of $10 per gun; the range is on Cardwell Hill Drive west of Philomath. Philomath News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A local resident documented hate stickers with violent messages—such as 'Fuck Israel, Nuke Jerusalem'—appearing repeatedly on public property in Corvallis and reported them to police and city officials, who later said that while the messages are hateful, they do not qualify as bias crimes and can be removed if found. - ➤ Benton County residents now face limits in getting the new COVID-19 vaccine as federal guidelines restrict access to adults 65 and those with high-risk conditions.
