- ➤ The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers urges boaters to check ramp openings at Willamette Valley reservoirs because fall drawdowns and lower water levels affect access. Certain reservoirs such as Cougar and Blue River are closed while others like Dexter, Dorena, Foster and Hills Creek will keep one ramp open this winter—boaters should check online for updates. KEZI

- ➤ Philomath High’s volleyball team beat North Marion on October 2 in a four-set match that featured a slow third set—before the Warriors rallied to win. Junior Megan Ward said the team will focus on keeping steady momentum as they prepare for Tuesday's match in Newport. Philomath News
- ➤ Philomath High boys soccer beat Cascade 3-0 on Thursday — Sammy Hernandez, Esias Sapp, and Jacob Hernandez each scored to lift the Warriors’ record to 6-1 after a recent loss against Stayton. Philomath News
- ➤ The Philomath High girls soccer team posted its fourth straight shutout—winning 4-0 at Cascade on Oct 2 with two goals each from sophomores Bethany Cannon and Kya Bolton. They improved their record to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in conference and will face North Marion Tuesday at 4 p.m. Philomath News
