Erin Gudge, a member of the Philomath School Board, stepped down as chair Tuesday evening after complaints over a Facebook post about the death of Charlie Kirk.

She remains on the board and a new chair will be chosen at 7 p.m. Thursday — the board formally censured her for the remarks.

Philomath High School science teacher Len Cerny—who began teaching in 1992—shared his story of shifting from railway engineering to the classroom and his passion for making science come alive for students.

Republic Services will pick up leaves from Corvallis streets once a week from October 20 until the week of December 22 as part of the City’s Fall Leaf Collection Program.
