- ➤ OSU will host an Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration at PRAx starting 5 pm on Oct. 13—keynote speakers, a film screening of Free Leonard Peltier, and proclamations by Mayor Charles Maughan are on the agenda. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Oct 9, the Philomath School Board installed Tom Klipfel as its new chair while Erin McMullen became vice chair. The board also welcomed two student representatives and discussed urgent safety repairs for the Clemens Community Pool—funding options are being explored. Philomath News
- ➤ Oregon State University spent $417 million on research in fiscal year 25, funding studies in areas like energy, health, and coastal safety.
