- ➤ Republic Services will raise its waste management rates for homes by 3.57% starting Jan. 1, while charges for businesses and factories will increase by 4.03% and 2.2% respectively. The company explained new recycling rules under Oregon’s Recycling Modernization Act (which let plastic lids stay on bottles and allow up to 10 pounds of scrap metal) to simplify recycling. - ➤ Samaritan Health Services will join MultiCare Health System after board approvals announced Tuesday show a major shift in local health care.
