- ➤ An anonymous donor’s $25,000 gift will fund Phase 1 pool renovations at Clemens Community Pool in Philomath—replacing the filter system and chemical controller without closing the facility. Officials are waiting for final quotes and timelines while plans for Phase 2, which will require a pool closure next summer, are still in progress. Philomath News
- ➤ Philomath Rotary Club will host a food waste prevention presentation by No Food Left Behind director Jeanette Hardison on Tuesday, Nov. 18th at noon at Peace Lutheran Church in Philomath. - ➤ Philomath Museum is hosting a reception today from 5-7 p.m. to celebrate 20 years of the Philomath Open Studios Tour — the event features artwork from this year’s POST artists along with past special pieces while serving light refreshments and wine. - ➤ New OSU research shows that rising wildfire risk and volatile timber prices could cut Oregon forestland values in half and force early Douglas fir harvests—reducing the optimal rotation from 65 years to 24 years.
