  • Turkey Bingo will return Friday from 5-8 p.m. in the high school auditorium with bingo games, a silent auction, and a $10 meal deal from Figaro’s Pizza to benefit Philomath Middle School’s band, choir and drama programs. Organizers will offer multiple rounds of bingo with frozen turkeys as prizes and allow guests to join throughout the evening.  Philomath News

  • Oregon published its 25-year Energy Strategy last Wednesday that focuses on boosting energy efficiency in buildings, industry and transportation rather than opening a path to new nuclear plants + state officials noted that the plan relies on more solar, wind and other clean energy to help reduce long-term costs from climate change.  The Corvallis Advocate
