Philomath High School’s boys and girls swim teams will open their season Wednesday in a home tri-meet against Sisters and Crosshill Christian with 31 athletes competing under fourth-year coach Iliana Kaiser—state champion Lucas Brandt leads the team and holds four school records as he aims to break freestyle records this season. The team faces a season of technique work and endurance training while preparing for upcoming invitational meets.
