- ➤ David Russell, a 105-year-old Pearl Harbor veteran and last USS Oklahoma survivor, was honored at VFW Post 584 in Albany on Sunday. Local leaders and fellow veterans attended the ceremony as he received a 2025 Gold Medallion Award from the Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service. KEZI

- ➤ Philomath wrestling opened its season on Saturday at Cascade High School, where senior Riley Barrett placed second after going 3-0 and withdrawing due to injury — Porter Compton placed fourth and Lake Mulberry finished fifth.
