- ➤ Transportation Services developed a board game to show OSU parking challenges and community impacts (it debuted in 2019 and was adapted by local groups). Interested players can schedule guided sessions to explore trade-offs like more parking versus environmental goals. The Corvallis Advocate

- ➤ Opponents of the Coffin Butte Landfill decision filed an appeal on Dec. 5 and announced an alliance with Beyond Toxics after county officials approved the landfill expansion last month. The Corvallis Advocate

- ➤ Philomath High girls basketball team won its season opener Tuesday at Philomath HS, beating Marist Catholic 47-27 as junior Jordyn Hood scored 13 points, including three 3-pointers, and Reagan Heiken added 12 for a strong defense - the Warriors will meet Class 5A West Albany at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. - ➤ Philomath High beat Marist Catholic 49-38 Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Philomath HS as the Warriors out-rebounded their opponents with three players posting double figures, including senior Josiah Peters and junior Esias Sapp. A 13-4 run helped secure a lasting lead for the team. Philomath News
