- ➤ The Corvallis Fire Department achieved a milestone when it staffed its first all-female crew in its 150-year history. The crew, including firefighters Katie Davenport, Madison Brink and Sherri Doll, celebrated with a shift dinner that highlighted their dedication and teamwork. KEZI
- ➤ Yulissa Magaña, a Master of Counseling student from Corvallis, was recently invited to join the Oregon Governor’s Racial Justice Council (designed to expand policy access for historically excluded communities), underscoring her commitment to mental health advocacy and equity in higher education. - ➤ Philomath's boys basketball team bounced back with a 56-46 win Friday at Marshfield HS in Coos Bay. Junior Esias Sapp scored 19 points (with five 3-pointers) and the team will play in the consolation final at 10:45 a.m. Saturday. Philomath News
