- ➤ On December 22 at 7:30 a.m., a kayaker capsized near Booneville Channel and Kiger Island Drive when high water trapped him in a slough; the Corvallis Fire Department and Benton County Sheriff's Office rescued him with boats, drones, and a swimmer — he was uninjured. City of Corvallis
