- ➤ Benton County is inviting local artists to submit original logo designs for the 2026 fair and rodeo — the contest runs until Feb. 15 and offers a grand prize share of proceeds plus VIP fair passes, with the winning design featured on promotional materials. Philomath News

- ➤ Philomath High football seniors Rocco De La Rosa and CD Nuño earned all-state honors — De La Rosa made the first team at wide receiver and kickoff returner while Nuño earned second team at linebacker. - ➤ Philomath boys basketball beat Junction City 52 to 49 on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at Junction City HS, with Esias Sapp and Dreyton Nuño helping secure the team's third straight win despite last-second challenges. Philomath News
- ➤ The Philomath girls basketball team overcame a slow start to beat Junction City 60-27 on Tuesday at Junction City HS (Shaylee May led with 16 points) and now heads to the Surf City Holiday Classic in Huntington Beach for a five-game road trip. Philomath News
