- ➤ Local law enforcement agencies teamed up to curb impaired driving with public education and high-visibility patrols during high-risk events. After a busy Halloween weekend, the team now launches the 12 Days of Traffic Safety campaign running through New Year’s Day to promote road safety in our community. Philomath News
- ➤ Oregon State Parks will lead guided hikes at 25 parks on New Year's Day, Thursday, Jan. 1. Some hikes require a day-use parking permit (costing $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents) with trail distances from a quarter-mile walk to a 5-mile trek. The Corvallis Advocate
